(probably works as an indie-folk lyric)

Hello, it's late, and I'm worrying about you.
I'm on my break, and this is fun, pew pew.
You haunt my thoughts, a friendly ghost.
I hope the demons shall leave you most.

Always maybe, we'll be, in the dark.
You said, we would better be apart.
I've got a friend to keeps me warm.
I hope you're happy with your spawn.

And maybe we'll see each other soon.
One day in a dark red room.
Maybe you'll turn and speak to me.
Maybe we'll figure out a way to be.

Together, but always apart.
Forever, picking at our hearts.
Maybe we'll find another way.
Meanwhile I'm lying here, waiting for daylight, so I can get back to work ...

Love Under the Microscope

Love can be analysed into :

- friendship
- sex
- contracts
- addiction

I guess I just prefer to avoid the addiction part.

PBT-per-staff & the Opportunity Cost of Not-hiring

#HR #finance #profitability

At some point a company starts to make a PBT/profit before tax that is greater than the local minimum wage. (US mw is 12.1 ¢/minute, MY urban mw is 9.6 sen/minute)

It starts to get very feasible to hire minimum wage workers, pay them a premium, and outsource certain kinds of labour because every minute reduced from internal staff attention would cost more money.

Question for operators :

1. Do you know your business's PBT-per-staff-per-minute?
2. What are your current staff doing, that should be outsourced or given to other (cheaper) staff?
