Empathy and Condescension
I think it is funny, how dishonest people are. Some are dishonest, some are ignorant. Whether polity requires one to tell white lies or not is a related concern.
For example, if you recognise how dumb someone is, complete empathy with them requires that you become them, a dumb person, limited by their limits. Of course, you can express sympathy for them without bringing yourself to their limits, but then that is just condescension.
The general challenging facing oneself in society, is simply to decide how much one wants to be ignorant, or dishonest, or disliked.
Most of us are ignorant. Some of us choose it - a privileged few. Everyone else is either ignorable, ignoble, or a mixture of the two.

Apparently I am an Investor
Epiphany - since I have been completely happy with myself since 2004, and thus lack an in-built need to prove anyone wrong about anything ... I basically lack the emotional volatility which investors look for in their investees. So, I should systematically deprioritise the positioning of "investee", in my personal branding. It certainly doesn't preclude prioritising the positioning of "investor", so I guess from today onwards, I am branded as being more suitable to be an investor than an investee.
