Currency, Cybernetics, and "Humanity"

Currency. Many remain unaware that communication and control are objectively the same physical mechanism, just spun differently for political and/or sentimental purposes.

It is correspondingly impossible to engage with industry unless one employs relevant currency. Even if one places no intrinsic value upon the subjective experience of human beings, or the variations of sensory experience within known parameters, one still has to PRODUCE the relevant currency, in order to manipulate other entities.

It is something often discussed in the study of rhetoric : how does one incentivise an audience to compute, and/ or remember, a signal?

Economics : Redundancy of Ideas

Nearly my entire adult life, I've found most human thought to be incredibly redundant. So it seems unsurprising that I find many instances of AI today to be somewhat redundant in their thoughts as well.

If we make a list of say, the most important ideas required for daily living, in nature, or in industrial society ... and we go down the list, by orders of 10 : top 100, top 1,000, top 10,000 etc. ... we will find, that there are relatively few locally important ideas, and billions of equivalent copies of those.

An example of an important idea is the notion that one must remember to eat and breathe. Ideas such as these, then subordinate : numerous other ideas which have contextual impact, upon implementation of the superior ideas.

Whereas, going down the list, we eventually encounter truths of medicine that save millions of lives, and truths of accounting and manufacturing which make other ideas implementable. Relatively few people know about many of these things, but the relative few make things which keep alive quite a number of people.

In all cases, the idea of a thing is relatively simple, but the resources required to support redundant instances of these ideas in different meatheads, the instruction, communication, and maintenance of these ideas, is what costs large quantities of energy.

As human civilisation now struggles to understand how AI works and will be industrialised, there will be more opportunities to cut down on such redundancies.

The rights and privileges of ordinary meatheads will change. Mainly, the legal environment protecting us in the present, is attributable to our industrial utility to those who control public policy.

Inflammation & its Discontents

My favourite solution to inflammation is protein loading. This is relevant for both immune response and tissue repair.

But it remains important to keep on-hand the relevant antioxidants, antihistamines, corticosteroids, etc. To mute the immune response if the constructive approach is insufficient.

Ah, immunology.

The Retards of Specialisation

Some patterns I consider dysfunctional, and usually manage to avoid :

1. Finance nerds trying to make money, only because they can.

2. Artisanal and STEM nerds trying to ship products, only because they can.

3. Empaths trying to help people, only because they can.

Individually, each of these seems like its own retarded form of poverty.

Pengenepian Perasaan

Cinta. Cinta apa-apapun, jangan cinta sampai sakitkan jiwa diri. Itu kerja sia-sia. Sayang ... Suka ... Hormat ... sama je ... jangan bagaikan perasaan anda sesuatu yg patut ditinggikan.

leadership stereotypes : maverick

in The Devil Wears Prada, the stereotype of such leaders is summarised in the dialogue :

1. see beyond what people want
2. see beyond what people need
3. choose for yourself

in other words, be narcissistic. whether it translates to a greater good is a matter of informed gambling

"Is it Capitalism or Socialism?"

Quick and dirty, heuristic :

"As one gets richer, does it get easier or harder, to get even richer?"

That's all you need to know. :)

The Legal Risks of Kafirdom in Malaysia

I identify as a kafir in Malaysia, and that gives me a legal risks to manage. The term refers to a rejector of Islam, but also in Malaysia it is legally contentious to encourage the rejection of Islam. So in stating my own identity, there is a limit to the public celebration which is allowed. This is part of what life is like, and it continues to be an integral part of life as a citizen : I don't think it has been too much different, throughout my life.

There's a nice list of common kuffar varieties on Wikipedia. The main controversy about the term, comes from arguments between Muslims about the modal conditions for judging a Muslim (since in some circles, judgment results in social castigation, or even punishment by death). It is much less controversial for naive kuffar, or intentional non-apostate non-Muslims.

Kafir Dating in Malaysia : my experience

Malaysia is mostly shaped by

1. Ethno/theocratic constitutional foundations

2. Subsequent success of conservatives to drive politics around that, with a major pivot around the 1970s and 80s ( basically what you'd have if US politics worked with constitutional aristocracy for say, 13 families, protected rights for Irish, and with Christendom given its own separate legal system parallel to the secular legal system )

3. Subsequently that has resulted in demographics shift of the privileged class, from 50% to a more stable 70% ( many subplots )

4. So legal drugs do not include alcohol for 70%, nor is embodied promiscuity allowed - we have a sort of ICE-esque relationship gestapo that has the right to enter hotel rooms etc.

5. What happens if you're in the 30% ? We make do! I basically didn't date much due to study/work priorities until I was 24. However that was like 2007, and dating app usage only took off around 2016 after Tinder viralled. Apps were there but membership was low prior to that. So 24-33 I dated maybe 10 people total, and then after 33 it was like maybe a few people per month.

6. Folks with social activities like clubbing, sport, hobbies, business, and religion have a bigger funnel. I did not.
