Generally the largest expenses are in building cognitive models of other people, so having the wrong model of the people around you is the biggest mistake. Most people gloss over metacognition, so they just think of it as "the people are good, or bad, for me", when it is really the subject's cognitive modelling which is flawed. Overall, people in your life are the second largest risk to your portfolio.
The largest risk of course, is your own cognitive apparatus.
