pengurusan trauma Melayu

2026-08-26 : Rohingya hate is just collateral damage.

Structural solution : Unbreak the Malay heart.

Not my fucking problem. Could probably think of a fix but would want to be paid to do it.

redesigning education (malaysia)

There is a larger case for the reform of the education system. Over coffee perhaps.

Framing :

- edu-sys is supposed to create highly-functional citizens in the shortest time and lowest cost

- concrete functional objectives for a 12, 15, 17, 19, 23 yo median citizen? functions : defensive vs risk / impairment; offensive vs opportunity / growth

- only after that is answered, designing the reform of structures

normalising metaphysical discussions of Malaysia's religious beliefs

Discussion :

Any thoughts on modifying KBSM/KSSM science with metaphysics? Islamic or otherwise?

Do they do much of that in the tahfiz science schools?

Originating comment, replying to "why would you say Islam is a fairy tale?"

ah, it seems like you are in a rush. If you refer to my original text, you will find it is contextualised besides humanism and other points of view.

For example :
- "life is sacred"
- "do good to others"
- "don't hate yourself"
- "god/s exists"
- "their names are a/b/c"

1. Are all normative statements.
2. But none are necessarily true.
3. No one is obliged to accept any of them as true.
4. Many people accept one or more of these as true, without structural study of the mechanics of their cognitive apparatus which performs the acceptance.

This should suffice as an introduction to the subject of human mythology in general.

Do note that by writing this, it is possible that I am in non-compliance with Malaysian law and may be arrested without a warrant. But you know how enforcement is, we can't even get double-parking done right.

defining forgiveness

"forgiveness" has at least three common dimensions of interest.

1. a cost was incurred
2. we are assigning causal blame to a party
3a. we will seek reparations via realpolitik
3b. we are going to be cognitively impaired by the facts 1, 2

Logical structure, necessarily :1 and 2 and not either 3a or 3b

Malaysia pasca-kaum

Malaysia terbentuk atas dasar perkauman bagi penjagaan aset orang bukan Malaysia.

Sehingga jati diri orang Malaysia tidak bergantung kepada kaumnya, minda orang Malaysia masih terjajah.

KEDUKAAN SEBANGSA Malaysia, adalah kenyataan bahawa dasar berperkauman belum lagi disingkirkan dari jiwa orang ramai.

Semoga tercapailah masyarakat pasca-kaum di Malaysia, demi kemajuan bangsanya.

Prejudice and Judice

Society is very cute.

You can pretend it is made of smart people, don't look, just pretend. And ah, life is easy, business occurs naturally, and the world advances.

But if you avoid pretensions, and actually look at the people in front of you, holy shit. Most of them are imbeciles. Who would want such creatures to persist? Do business with them - for what? To make more of them?

Holy hell in a hooker. What do you tell the children? Usually we tell them to do the first thing. But we forget to tell them it is pretentious to presume the best of other people. Some parents are more daring, and teach kids to be selective about their peers. And then if they go over a little, and become too selective, you get literature such as this.

phenoumena, and religious metaphysical inference

Technical answer very boring. All observable conscious experience can be categorised as a property of the brain and observed in the first person view as sensory data types.

What you make of the data is up to you. The visceral feeling of discomfort with unanswered questions is itself this type of data. Which leads to the question, is the question the problem. Or the answer which isn't there.

How to start understanding Malaysian politics

Google and Meta AI are reasonably good at the historical stuff and interpretation of current affairs.

As with all politics, I would go back as far as possible and list
1. the traumas that matter,
2. the execution that followed
3. the legislation that stabilised
4. the interpretation and enforcement that followed

In that order.

So Malaysian trauma starts with Constantinople falling to the Ottomans, locking up the silkroad, and forcing EU to seafare ... same as US trauma

Discussion :

2026-08-21 : I have been giving out a manual on studying Malaysian politics, in 500 characters.

Admittedly much of this is in KBSM/KSSM.

TETAPI ... it's too abstract. So children have no reason to be interested in this shit, because children are not subject to political, legal, and economic consequences on a daily basis.

A more motivating curriculum would be to put both pain and power in the hands of children, before trying to make them study history.

Why have I met so many stupid people? A POV at 43.

Why have I met so many stupid people? A POV at 43.

Review of institutional relations :

From 1983 to 2001, I dealt mostly with my parents. The data was not so good, but it is what it is, one does not get to choose about this. I was happy to exit this environment. ASAP. We are generally congenial and have no ill-will towards each other, though I would think they have had more attachment to me, while I have deprioritised it aggressively since 2000.

From 2001 to 2005, I dealt mostly with my college. It only took me until 2003 to figure out that academia as a sector was poorly structured, and that my teachers here were mostly cogs in a sector they had no interest in drastically reforming. I was paid well, and made the most of my time here.

From 2005 to 2010, I dealt mostly with my employers. It took me a few months to eyeball the status quo and eject from government think tanks, then a year and a bit more to do the same for consulting and banking by 2007. Then until 2010 I worked with small business owners, before intermittently dabbling in running my own businesses from 2011 to 2020.

Perhaps it was just my luck of trying to find a place among ordinary people : the result was, I spent much of all this time with people who are naturally stupid, and comfortable in their stupor. A poorly paid serf, does not have much opportunity to offer their own servants.

So if I want to meet smarter people, I may have to switch strategies to avoid ordinary life. I will think about this some more over the years to come.

Discussion :

Who do I consider stupid, she asked me. I thought it was clear enough in my previous comments. For the avoidance of doubt :

- people who trust counterparties without contingency plans

- people who want to publish for personal gain, instead of avoiding publication which does not serve public interest

- people who want to repeat known business models, instead of aiming to destroy them

- people who want to do their favourite things repeatedly instead of learning new things

- people who prefer to stability of a population over development of the survivors

Talking points of course. This is very abstract.

mode switch

I tend to think, it's not possible to know who a person is, if they have chronic substance dependencies - until you've washed'em out for three months, then started structural reconstruction of motivational architecture, and seen predictable, sustainable growth, in executive function.

But I'm an asshole, and I think of people as processes. Most empaths just want to empathise with whatever blubbering mess is staring them in the face.

Off they go

Managed to dodge out of another family food group meeting today. Cousin once removed is going to college, I hear. Best of luck to them.

Their parent asked if I had any advice for the young'un and I said we had not gotten to know each other very well - so I had no context for giving advice; also I am generally available for meetings and we live in the same city, about 20 minutes away; it's not the days of steamships, now, the world is very small. I sent a Googled poster of Bezos' six meeting rules as advice which I thought might be useful.

I wondered what other advice I might have cooked up, had I attended. Don't repeat your parents' mistakes - see example above. We probably had different family experiences - I think theirs is a small, dinner-oriented family, and the only child seems to have had things prepared for them throughout life. Perhaps a word of warning that hungrier colleagues would not ask before taking from pools of limited opportunity. Do not wait to be asked.

I didn't have much affection for my mother, and would happily hang-up on her babbling mid-sentence from my college room. Hm.

What else could I possibly say? Hm.
