Core dumps

Today in my study of software, I reviewed the concept of a "core dump", which is a copy of a program's memory state at a point in time, possibly after its death.

So in humans, roughly, the study of memory states depends on something similar. It requires that a person develop the capability to make a copy of their mental state during a point in time, and then at future points in time ... they can perform various analyses about that state.

This is internal to the person themselves, since we currently do not have technology to do core dumps of other people's memories. Moreover, this is antecedent, and otherwise unrelated to a person's ability to communicate that core dump outside to other people other than themselves.

The success of various individuals, in understanding themselves, begins with core dumps.
