They say, enjoy life. Eat, drink, and be merry. Appreciate the moment. Fuck around a lot! Have more chocolate, hot sex, fast cars, designer furniture, and bubble tea. But this seems like a contradiction ... if you are spending your life on these things, you are not appreciating the moment at all. In fact you are probably a slob ...
... and then on the other side, there are people who say we should ignore slobs. Let them be. Let them take their cute photos, take their various il/legal drugs, and publish their magazines, but do not engage with them unnecessarily.
But that latter advice too is insufficient. To encompass the entirety of nature, a civilisation must recognise its every citizen, slobs and all. That is why it is important to seek to work for everyone.
So I'm in essential services because I think that is a stable and boring business to be in, but I bothered to touch on the lifestyle industry (read: hipster cafes) for this very reason.
