crying

Crying. Infants cry as a matter of instinct, and adults respond as a matter of instinct. But these behaviours often carry into culture.

For some adults, crying is a legitimate method of calling for help, and responding to crying is expected. For others this is only relevant to children.

Generally society maintains this instinct of emerrgency call and response. What is debated is whether the calls are about more-:or less-valued things, and whether the response is appropriate in proportion.
