identification of business sectors

On vaca, I visited some hospitality businesses. I was reminded that most of the well-known ones exist to entertain the middle- and upper-classes. Folks with entertainment budgets of less than 300 $/year ( about a daily soda ) are rarely seen here. A piece of bread can set you back 2.5 $, in these parts.

I reflected upon my own position in business : I was raised on a low budget for entertainment, and generally identified as poor person despite being over-educated on non-financial matters. I've generally not been interested in the entertainment sector, as I don't personally value its products and services, though I study and purchase them judiciously for others.

I still tend to think about essential and growth-functional services, for the time being. Perhaps at some point in my life I will change. We shall see!
