foolish inquiry

I have always sought to understand the people around me, though I find people in general to be simpletons, I make a point to look, again, and again, until I can no longer stomach the effort. That is the best I can do, as a member of society, to support my neighbours. Whenever questions of country, or race, or company, or religion, come up ... I tend to find those reducible to the study of individual fools. Groups are simply masses of fools. Study fools! All humanity is contained in the programming of the individual fool!
