Property Rights - and a sense of personal value

There was a recent friend from social media who would rant to me about issues. I would from time to time express that their rants were foolish. They blocked me recently after I made fun of rich people, in response to their making fun of poor people. I think it points to a particular psychical vulnerability ... if one's sense of identity is entrenched in the concept of property rights, then you will be emotionally damaged if

- your rights are not acknowledged

- your rights are threatened

- your acknowledged property is not deemed to be of intrinsic value

- - e.g., if you can't use your property to trade for another good or service which you deem to be of lesser value

Property rights are fun. Please learn all about property rights - they make the world what it is today. It is not merely about hard goods and service contracts, but also about fuzzy notions of social relations that people consider "ownable", e. g., "my friend", "my partner", "my pet". People attach themselves to these things, but the attachment exposes an attack surface, when the attachment is not secured.
